DiscoverOur Wines
Our complex wines formed with a robust personality are made predominantly from old vines, from our best vineyards.
KollosThe Vineyard
At elevations up to 575 m, the grapes mature somewhat more slowly and experience cooler nights, favorable to fruitiness and development of acidity. Chalky soils with tertiary sedimentation and volcanic intrusions give our Riesling and Furmint blanc varieties their structure and minerally note.
IntroducingThe Grapes varietals
Riesling
Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines.
Furmint
A grape variety of Hungarian origins, made in a traditional Slovene style, presents flavors of exciting peach fruitiness, smoky and herbal notes. Full-bodied, with more peach and nectarine in the mouth. Spicy too, with a little touch of tannin and streak of minerality holding it all in check. Well balanced, very long, captivating.
Sauvignon
Sauvignon blanc is a green-skinned grape variety that originates from the Bordeaux region of France. The grape most likely gets its name from the French words sauvage and blanc due to its early origins as an indigenous grape in the South West. It is possibly a descendant of Savagnin.

HistoryWinemaking Tradition Since 1576
At the Kollos winery in Gruschkaberg, we are continuing the 400-year-old winemaking tradition of the Vidovich family – with great respect for nature and a keen sense for modern developments.
If these vineyards are to thrive and bear their best fruit, they must always have first-class attention. Harold J. Seymour
